Web Based System Management and Monitoring (Using WMI)  [TOP]

The Production Monitoring system, a turnkey stand-alone system, I developed and implemented, provides a consistent, flexible infrastructure for the management of systems, applications, devices and networks using Windows® Management Instrumentation (WMI). WMI is a powerful technology that makes it possible to manage a single machine, or ten thousand all at once and enables remote management of Windows-based systems and apps.

This intranet based system is helpful for technical support group, whenever any problem occur in our production system, it notifies assigned individuals in the technical support group, via beeper and/or email, with detailed error message, error occurred time and server name. This helps them to fix the problem quickly and reduces the down time of the production system being monitored.

Bureau Report Parser and Decision Support Data Manager                [TOP]

Primary developer who designed and developed, in a team environment, a set of systems that, utilizing metadata, extracts pertinent data from parsed credit reports, standardizes the data and stores the result in a database structure.  This data then feeds into a centralized database repository for analysis.  A web front end was developed to automate extraction and display of that data for end users.

Advanta Corp. is a financial services company with services including mortgages, equipment leases, business credit cards, and insurance and deposit products.

Contribution:

·         Designed and developed an interface for getting raw information from credit bureaus (TU, EQ, EX, D&B) through Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ).  Parses the raw data, constructs the well-formatted data into structured SQL’s, which are finally stored in the Sybase database. The whole interface is designed and driven based on METADATA.

·         Designed and developed an incremental data transfer system that copies highly normalized data from a leasing auto-approval system to a flattened format for general end user reporting on daily basis.

·         Implemented a 3-Tier architecture for a standardized consumer credit bureau and business credit bureau reporting system via web interface. Provides ability to view customer credit bureau reports over intranet in a custom format, which was developed for a fraction of the estimated cost.

·         Designed the Relational Data Model for a standardized consumer credit bureau and business credit bureau reporting system using ERwin tool.

·         Co-implemented the foundations of a web-based status reporting system, which monitors the progress of a core leasing decision engine application and the aforementioned data transfer system.

·         Developed a utility for organizing the daily log files backup using windows scripting Host (WSH).

·         Wrote stored procedures and triggers for the Web Interface.

·         Did Unit Level testing and Technical documentation.
